Starting a process from other applications
Using the Zapier service you can configure the start of a Workflowsoft process from more than 3000 applications (https://zapier.com/explore) yourself without involving IT-professionals. It’s more than tenfold faster and cheaper than classic integration involving developers, coding, and so on.
In Zapier, configure the activity Start Process. In the activity settings, when choosing a Workflowsoft account to connect, make sure that you are logged into Workflowsoft as a user who is a Workflowsoft administrator. Next, in the activity settings, select the name of the Workflowsoft process which you want to be started automatically.
You can enter the email address of a Workflowsoft user in the optional Process starter field, so the process will start automatically using their name. If you enter an email address which doesn’t belong to a Workflowsoft user in the Process starter field, or you don’t fill in this field, the process will use the name of the user who created the process in Workflowsoft (you can see it in the Process editor in the process settings in Created by).
Next, in the settings for the Start Process activity you see all fields from the Workflowsoft process you selected earlier. You can fill in these fields with any information available in Zapier. This information will be passed to the Workflowsoft process.
As an example of this kind of integration - in 10 minutes you can configure integration with a mailbox without involving IT-professionals, so a Workflowsoft process will start automatically after receiving an email. It’s useful for helpdesk support, if requests are often received via emails. Now you don’t need to look into all emails manually because the process for helpdesk support will start automatically.
